Ann Wallack, Chair

Ann Wallack is passionate about Arizona and has spent the last 27 years as a community volunteer working to improve the lives of all Arizonans. She has been a Fiesta Bowl Board member, President of Scottsdale Parent Council, a Valley Citizen's League Board member and a classroom volunteer in her sons' schools. Ann and her husband, Rob Wallack, own a retail athletic store in Phoenix and an online event registration company. During her professional career Ann helped produce over 50 events with the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and 11 Susan G. Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure events.

Frieda Pollack, First Vice Chair

Frieda Pollack has volunteered much of her free time over the past six years to supporting the Democratic Party and assisting candidates at all levels. As First Vice Chair, she works closely with several committees and has taken on various projects aimed at strengthening the MCDP.

Previously, Frieda was chair of the Legislative District 20 Democrats where she helped elect Rep. Rae Waters, turning a longtime Republican seat blue. Frieda was honored by the Arizona Democratic Party as the Outstanding District Chair of 2008.

I was born in Washington DC and grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland.  After high school I joined the U.S. Navy, which allowed me to live in some wonderful places and have interesting experiences. After 10 years of miitary service, I took a job in Arizona and have called this beautiful state my home ever since.

Steven Slugocki, Secretary

Steven Slugocki has been a volunteer in Democratic politics since 2004. His first volunteer work was with the John Kerry campaign. He graduated with a degree in Political Science and a minor in U.S. History from Arizona State University in 2007.

Steven is currently the Treasurer of District 7 Democrats as well as the Maricopa County Democratic Party. As Treasurer for the county party, Steven's job is to manage the finances of the party as well as to provide support for the Executive Board.

Catherine Miller seems to leave a trail of blue in her wake, whether she is making a difference in her home precinct or founding a new organization. Catherine was a consultant to two successful statewide political campaigns in 2008. She has served as a party officer at the district, county, and state level; and has served on the steering committees of Presidential hopefuls over the past two decades.

Shirley McAllister, chair of LD 9 and Sergeant at Arms for MCDP, lives in Sun City. She has been a Democratic activist in Arizona since 1996. Shirley is the old lady who lives in a shoe with so many children, she doesn't know what to do. So, she works to promote Democratic principles to help her children and others. Arizona's children need all the help from Democrats that they can get.
