Welcome to District 8 Democrats. We are happy that so many Democrats in Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Rio Verde are taking a look at our website and would like to invite you to get involved with our organization.  There are many opportunities that D8 provides to its volunteers including social events, grass roots activism, community programs and candidate support.

We are a very active and vibrant group and always welcome new members with open arms.  Please let us know who you are and what we can do to help you engage in the political process.

D8(23)  Is On The Move, Thanks to Dedicated Volunteers!

Special recognition and thanks to all of our volunteers who are out in our community almost every day.  Our Voter Registration Team (74 strong) had 8 registration events this past week!   Thank you Joan & Richard.  We also had 35 volunteers phoning and canvassing in Fountain Hills over the weekend to Get Out The Vote for Mary Nickum.  Thank you to Jon, our new organizer, for putting together such an outstanding event!  Our PCs are meeting their neighbors, finding that people are tired of what is happening at our state house.  While the GOP legislature is busy trying to pass laws to allow guns on campus, do away with Clean Elections and continue their war on women, we know that voters across our district feel they are grandstanding and abusing their power.  We know that overspending on private prisons and defending unconstitutional legislation won't create jobs.  We know that Arizonans deserve leaders who will make common sense investments in our future and not waste taxpayer's money on their extreme agenda.

Our mission in LD8 is simple:  Elect qualified Democrats to every available office in Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Rio Verde.  To achieve this goal, we will continue to build a strong organization that will keep its members informed, engaged and above all, valued for their contributions.  As activists, we will continue to register new voters and assist all Democrats in the voting process.

LD 8 Vision

Our vision in LD8 is to reach out to our larger community of voters in Scottsdale, Fountain Hills, and Rio Verde through intelligent and constructive dialogue.  We look forward to the day when every constituent is able to clearly hear the positive message of the Democratic Party.
