Diane Selleck
Submitted by dawnteo on August 5, 2009 - 7:11pm
Diane Selleck was born in Minnesota and moved to Mesa, Arizona, in 1976. Diane and her husband Todd, have been married nineteen years and have two lovely daughters Jaime and Stephanie.
Diane graduated from Westwood High School where she proudly recalls her involvement with DECA (Distributive Education Clubs of America) and sports teams particularly softball and diving. “Once a Westwood Warrior, always a Warrior!,” seems to be the family motto and one day soon Diane and her high school sweetheart Todd’s children will follow in their parent’s footsteps and graduate from Westwood High School.
For five years Diane worked with severely mentally disabled children, as an aide in the Special Education Department at Westwood High School. She then took a group home management position with the Chandler-Gilbert ARC (Association for Retarded Citizens), where she worked with school bound children. After having her two children, Diane returned to the workforce in the last eight years and currently works for Fresh and Easy Neighborhood Market where she is anxiously awaiting word on a potential promotion to management. She credits skills learned from her high school Vocational Education DECA program, for allowing her to attain book keeping related skills that she utilizes today.
Diane and her husband Todd are no strangers to the political landscape of Legislative District 18. Diane currently serves as Secretary for the Legislative District 18 Democratic Party and has been a campaign treasurer.
Diane has also recently been accepted to the Mesa Leadership Training and Development Program. In spite of all these activities, when spare time manages to occasionally find its way to Diane, Diane enjoys scrapbooking, relaxing poolside, and catching a comedy movie with friends and family.
