Chad Campbell, Arizona Representative, LD14

Chad Campbell is a Phoenix native and lifelong Arizona resident. A graduate of Moon Valley High School and Northern Arizona University, Chad is in his second term as a State Representative for District 14, which covers parts of central and west Phoenix.

Chad has been an active community member for many years. As a community leader and nonprofit director, some of the key issues he has worked on over the years include improving the Maricopa County transportation system, protecting state shared revenues for cities, advocating for renewable energy and smarter growth, protecting critical services for children, and diversifying and strengthening Arizona’s economy.

As a legislator, Chad has led the fight in improving and strengthening the Clean Elections system, protecting consumers from fraud and predatory lending, and working to clean up our neighborhoods by cracking down on graffiti and gang crimes. Cloves Campbell, Arizona Representative, LD16

Representative Cloves Campbell, Jr. worked in the family business for over 25 years. Currently the Board Chairman and Co-Publisher of the Arizona Informant Newspaper, he held several positions at the paper. The Arizona Informant Newspaper has served the African American community of Arizona for 40 years.

Cloves Campbell currently serves in the Arizona State House of Representatives for District 16. Elected in 2006 he serves on the House Appropriations Committee, Banking and Insurance Committee and the Sub-Committee on Library and Archives. Equally active in the community, Cloves Campbell sits on several boards which include: Governor’s African American Advisory Board, Attorney General’s African American Advisory Board, Black Theater Troupe Board, Salvation Army Advisory Board, West Coast Black Publishers Board, Tanner Chapel A.M.E. Church Board of Trustees, and the 100 Black Men of Phoenix. He is also a Life Member of the NAACP.

Edward Ableser, Arizona Representative, LD17

Rep. Eddie Ableser was born and raised in Los Angeles, attended high school in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and received undergraduate degrees in political science and Chinese from ASU in 2000. He earned a Masters of Counseling degree in 2004 while working as an ASU instructor. Currently, he is working towards a doctoral degree in Justice and Social Inquiry at ASU. Rep. Ableser is engaged and very excited to marry and start a family with Ms. Hilary Heller this July.

Rep. Ableser has been a school-based mental health counselor since 2002, working with families and troubled youth in the south Phoenix corridor. He serves on the board of Kiwanis Club of Tempe, Childsplay, Communities in Schools and the Boys and Girls Club, as well as a member on the President’s Advisory Council for Rio Salado Community College. Rep. Ableser has served as an assistant pastor to the Exchange Tempe Community Church and a worship-service producer to the University Presbyterian Church.
