Sherri Connell, Tempe School Board
Sherri Connell was elected as a member of the Tempe Elementary School District Governing Board in November 2008 General Election to serve a four-year term officially sworn in January 1, 2009. Just this past June, she attended the Arizona School Boards Association annual legislative assembly on behalf of the Tempe Elementary Governing Board as their designated delegate.
Sherri has a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in English from Northern Arizona University. She started work as an Editorial Assistant with the Phoenix New Times, promoted to Calendar Listings Editor and wrote a handful of feature articles published in the Night & Day section; however, her career was cut short due to a company layoff in 1999.
