Welcome to LD 11 Democrats
In November of 2008, voters in every precinct in Arizona Legislative District 11 defeated both the payday loan initiative and the so-called marriage amendment while electing Democrat Dr. Eric Meyer to Arizona's House of Representatives.
Now, as we look foward to 2010, we invite you to join us at any of our monthly D11 meetings -- you will find out what you can do to help turn LD 11 -- and Maricopa County -- blue!

We host our monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM at Shepherd of the Hills UCC Church, 5524 E Lafayette Blvd, Phoenix (see map).

LD 11 Mission
Education is important to the voters in District 11. We believe that it is our moral obligation to provide every child with the best education possible and it is our fundamental belief that every child can learn and every school can be successful.
Our mission? Elect representatives to Arizona’s state legislature who don’t just say that they support education but vote to support education. We need to elect Democrats. In 2010, we are committed to the re-election of Dr. Eric Meyer to Arizona’s House of Representatives and we are committed to replace the Republican voices that have not represented us well in the current budget debate.
LD 11 Goals
Talk to our neighbors. Visit with D11’s independent voters about the importance of electing representatives who will vote to protect quality education, safe neighborhoods and high-paying jobs.
Increase the numbers of registered Democrats and the numbers of Democrats on the Permanent Early Voting List (PEVL). In 2008, 94 percent of the Democrats on the PEVL voted, while just 71 percent of non-PEVL Democrats voted.
Organize our efforts to elect Democrats through a strong network of committed Precinct Committeepersons in each of District 11’s 83 precincts. (Consider this your invitation to get involved. We need YOU!).
