LD 17 Monthly Meetings
When: Second Tuesday of every month, promptly at 6:30pm (note new time)
Where: Pyle Center (655 E Southern Ave, Tempe -- see map), just west of the Tempe Library on the SW corner of Rural and Southern
Holiday Party
When: Tues., Dec. 8, 6:30-8:30pm (note new time)
What: Free Appetizers (plus 1 drink coupon per person)
Where: Democratic-friendly El Penasco (SE Corner of Mill and Broadway)
Special Guest: City of Tempe Councilmember Ben Arredondo, who has just announced his candidacy for State House of Representatives (joining our incumbent Ed Ableser)

Three members of our district were recognized at the 2009 statewide Democratic Party awards banquet for their dedication and achievements.
Congratulations to Bob Mings (above), who was recognized for his hard work and dedication within his D17 precinct as the 2008 Precinct Committeeperson of the Year by the Arizona Democratic Party.
Congratulations to Cole Hickman (above), recognized with the prestigious honor of First Runner Up to 2008 Democrat of the Year by the Arizona Democratic Party.
And a big congratulations to Joan Fitz-Randolf, recognized for years of selfless service as the First Runner Up to the 2008 Madelene Van Arsdell Lifetime of Democratic Service Award by the Arizona Democratic Party.
