Legislative District 4
Welcome to LD 4
My hope is that we can increase our party's membership, enthusiasm, and influence in Arizona Legislative District 4. We must do this by bringing in the young and old, the rich and poor, the short and tall, and so on -- the "people" referred to in the preamble to our Constitution. We have had good candidates in the past -- our job now is to elect good candidates in 2010.
Join us and be part of the solution. With your commitment, we can make our county, state, and country a better place through honest, ethical leadership choices. Please contact any one of us with questions, and come to our meetings -- we have fun while addressing the real needs in our district.
Jim McManus
Chair, AZ Legislative District 4 Democrats
Upcoming LD 4 Event Highlights
Join Arizona Legislative District 4 the third Thursday of every month at 6:00 PM for conversation and 6:30 PM for our meeting. Our monthly meetings are held at the Maricopa County Services Facility (12975 W Bell, Surprise; between Crossroads Shopping Center and the MVD; after RH Johnson and before Dysart -- see map).
May 8
Legislative District 4 and Organizing For America will be holding an event on Saturday May 8, 2010, canvassing neighborhoods in Buckeye to register voters, sign up voters to PEVL and disseminate literature for Sue Dolphin and Karina Guerrero. Join us for this walk on May 8th. Click the Organizing For America link: http://my.barackobama.com/page/event/detail/gp8bl2

LD 4 Mission
Our mission is one of multiple goals -- made difficult by the fact that Republican registration is more than twice that of the Democratic. Goals are:
- Elect Democrats to Arizona Legislative District 4's legislative seats. Our candidates deserve admiration and support -- they have shown and are showing courage in an obviously uphill battle.
- Add our votes and support to those Democratic candidates running for higher offices in Arizona - whether state or county.
LD 4 Vision
Our vision is one of an Arizona Governor and Legislature endeavoring to improve the quality of life for all Arizona residents. This means improved education, social services and high paying jobs.
