Today, Governor Brewer signed Senate Bill 1070: the racial profiling bill that makes our communities less safe.
Governor Brewer had other options but chose to pacify those extremists on the far-right, rather than do what is right for Arizona.
Governor Brewer should have taken the lead of Attorney General Terry Goddard, who has shown the right priorities on this issue by going after violent drug cartels and human smugglers along the border. Senate...

We know that participation in Arizona’s permanent vote by mail program increases voter turnout and is our best bet to turn Arizona blue. As result, volunteers across the Valley of the Sun are rallying to help sign up Democrats to vote by mail.
In Congressional District 4, volunteers from the Arizona Democratic Party, the Pastor for Congress campaign, and Legislative Districts 13, 14, 15, & 16 are calling local Democrats and encouraging them to...

I just finished canvassing in Fountain Hills with an awesome
group of volunteers, Councilwoman Ginny Dickey, and Congressman Harry Mitchell. We had a great time as we went door-to-door

Today is Veterans Day -- when we as a country take time from our busy schedules to honor the men and women of the armed services who have served our country. We appreciate their commitment, patriotism and sense of duty that compels them to protect our welfare, sometimes at great personal risk.
Thank you to all those who serve and to their families for supporting their mission.

As Maricopa County weathers the worst financial downturn in recent history, Sheriff Joe Arpaio and County Attorney Andrew Thomas are hemorrhaging taxpayer dollars to conduct silly vendettas and score cheap political points.
Prison abuse lawsuits have cost the county over $40 million. MCSO and County Attorney’s Office officials have been caught wasting thousands of dollars on unnecessary junkets and equipment.

"If the Republicans pass their budget today, you can expect to see more people with shopping carts asking you for money, more homeless people, more mentally ill people wandering the streets, more child abuse, more house-bound seniors, bigger class sizes and more closures of libraries, senior centers and after-school programs. You will see fewer policemen and firefighters."
