There are over 620,000 registered Democrats in Maricopa County who want good jobs, strong public schools, and safe neighborhoods. Maricopa is the 4th largest county in the nation by population with 4 million people.

Maricopa County is the home of Phoenix, Mesa, Glendale, Scottsdale, Chandler, and Tempe, as well as 18 other municipalities and 58 school districts. With this many jurisdictions there are over 300 races conducted during an election cycle and our goal is to elect Democrats wherever possible.

There are no “off-years” in the Maricopa County Democratic Party. Our success in 2012 is evidenced by winning a majority of our Congressional Delegation, going from 3 of 8 to 5 of 9. Democrats picked up four seats each in the Arizona House and Senate, eliminating the GOP supermajority at the state capitol.
